OUR HISTORY
Amarillo Exploration, Inc.'s primary area of operation is the Texas Panhandle, Western Oklahoma, and Southwest Kansas, more commonly known as the Anadarko Basin. We also explore in other areas when exceptional opportunities arise.
The goal for our company is steady revenue growth and increasing reserves for ourselves and our Joint Venture Associates. We accomplish this by exploring credible oil and gas fields with relative low to moderate risk. Acquisitions also play a big part of growing our company as well as our investor's energy portfolios.
We pride ourselves in applying efficient, cost effective, daily operations to all our properties in order to maximize production. We call upon 30 years of associations with experienced contract field personnel, engineers, and geologists that are familiar with any particular geographic area in which we conduct business.
Our projects are financed with private equity partners on a Joint Venture basis. We do have investment opportunities and are receptive to new, qualified investors that may have an interest in oil and gas investments.
Management Team
Lenis Simpson
President
Lenis has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. During those years he has been involved in all facets of the industry obtaining considerable experience in land, acquisitions, drilling, completion, and operations.
He formed and served as President of his first start up company, Data Gas, Inc., in 1989. After two years of substantial growth he sold the company in 1991. Upon immediately restructuring, acquisitions and development began under the new company name of Athena Energy, Inc. Lenis served as President of Athena until 2001 when he initiated a corporate spin off and formed an investment and leasing company known as Parlay Corporation, which is still active to this day.
Lenis graduated from West Texas State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
